Well I have been thinking about trying having a blog to share opinions about recently tried recipes like the one today (Pan Fried Catfish with lemon and garlic) or the fact that I found wild strawberries in the backyard.... Pretty amazing! Or how much I'm craving a Rompope tres leches cake but my hubby is on a diet and it would be cruel to make it an him not being able to eat it... Or how disappointed I was when after traveling to TX and thinking "I'll finally will be able to have that red velvet cupcake that I've been craving for so long and was not able to find anywhere in NY one that came close in taste and moisture to the one I found in Tx just to realize they don't have it anymore :-(.... Or how much I love Texan BBQ and how hard it is to find where I've lived with hubby... Talk about culture shock!!!
Well this is just my introduction post.... I will be trying to posts at least once a week... thank you for reading me.... And good night to all!
He decidido ya dormir...
So I don't know if I should be typing a new post everyday.., kinda like a diary or biweekly... Or weekly?!?
Either way this past week was a busy hectic week... We dug out the flower bed in front of the house, fill it back up and now we have a couple shrubs and some lillies very bright colored ones, we also put some Forget me Not seeds (maybe now Jahdai [baby sis] will come visit to see her fave flower...fingers crossed)
No new recipes this week.
Trasplanted some of the wild strawberries to a couple pots... Hope they do good and I'm starting a mango again. The avocado is gorgeous.. And has new leaves coming out. Tomorrow imma start some lemon seeds, maybe!
It's been a while. Avocado is doing AMAZING! I smile every time I see it... And here's a pic so you smile as well
The strawberries turned out to be a weed... The yellow flower should've been the first hint. As I did some research I found out that strawberries only bloom white little flowers. Although this weed's fruit is edible, is bitter and grainy... It's a birds favorite. But I'll stick to the real strawberries!
I just finished my 4th of July many... At 1:40... Ok, so this is supposed to be a pg where you complete surveys based on your lifestyle and get badges and points, then they send you surveys to see if you qualify for a voxbox pretty much a box of goodies to try and share your opinion about. I just subscribed to it, I got my first prescreening voxbox survey today, I certainly hope I do qualify for a goodies box! It sux I didn't subscribe in time for the Victorias Secret Sports voxbox!!
ok so the day started grocery shopping.... Then to the celebration on post... I just have to say the Memorial Day little fair was free rides and off post, this one was 4 tickets per ride and the army band played live music.... Ft Brag had Josh Turner playing tonight!!! On that side it was a bit lame... But on the bright side the Ferris wheel was acting up when we where going to ride and didn't get the full ride, so my hubby asked what was going on and how where we going to be compensated, they said to come back hen the fireworks show started and that they will let us ride and make sure we stayed on top to watch the show from top... It was AMAZING! We where able to see all the different fireworks going off at the same time in the nearby cities, in one word beautiful!
Got my funnel cake... I'll tell you, if there's a fair and there's funnel cake I gotta have some even better if they have chocolate drizzle and strawberry topping... To make it even better when you add ice cream to the mix, delicious. It causes me to have a MOUTHGASM!
I had to share my experience today, over all a great day....
So i decided to change the way i cook a little and look for healthier recipes. On Tuesday we had a ham and cheddar casserole for brunch... (Hubby and I slept in because he took the day off because it was our 3rd anniversary, and our first together) then for dinner we had Pork and Zucchini with Orzo very good filling meal... And the rub on the Zucchini and Pork gets enhanced with the lemon on the orzo. Then today Wednesday we had Crispy chicken with salad and corn... Really good it has cheese mixed in with the panko coating! Note this recipes where found on Food Network with the 2nd one don't use all the dill asked for or it will make your dinner spicy in a weird way.
Another subject... SUNBURN I suffered it when I was little probably around 8yrs old, and it was after a day at the beach. But my hubby who has light skin got a really bad sunburn this past Saturday... His skin on the shoulders down his back was swollen, red, bumpy and he was in pain. I decided to turn to the miracle plant Aloe, but first I got an Aloe gel not the best thing, I put it in the fridge and apply it cold, was too sticky even after dry. So I bought the Aloe plant, it worked wonderfully, he didn't itch nor hurt neither was in pain. We decided not to apply it yesterday anymore (really bad idea) he started peeling today, and is in a lot of pain so doing some research I found this info and I want to share it with you all
Now imma have to get up at 3am to apply aloe to my hubby's back and shoulders trying to make his pain more bearable.
Well gotta go... Nah nite!
As you can see I accidentally ended doing a very broncos fan mani... But I love this color combo so imma keep it until it starts chipping or I get my new box, whichever happens first!
I made a Thai Noodle-steak salad... Very light and refreshing, but not something I would make again. It has one tblspn of fish sauce, but it's so stinky that after mixing all the ingredients and cooking the steak you can still smell it. If you like fruit mixed with your dinner this one has watermelon, a good contrasting flavor to all the others.
I have to say that I'm a bit upset with h&m before I got married I used to buy clothes there and they fit perfectly and the quality is ok. On my recent order I got as always one size up, but the clothes are not designed for Hispanic chick hips.... So they didn't close... Had to return all including the dress.... To narrow on the bottom rib area.... Just plainly disappointed!!!
I love Julep.... Is a program where you get a monthly box with nail products, or beauty products or both for I believe it's $25 or is it $20?!?.... Something like that every month. Usually on the first order all you have to do is pay shipping and you get a starter box, you can skip a month buy the secret store every 1st-3rd of every month for some really great deals. I totally recommend their beauty products. I try not to let my feet dry out I'm constantly scrubbing, exfoliating, moisturizing, soaking, deep moisturizing... Usually a 3-4 products routine. In my last box I got a foot lotion it says to apply as needed and that's all, my feet are baby soft after 4 uses, 2 times a day, two days... Love this minty lotion. Anyway if anyone is interested follow this link
