That's from the start of a very good chapter nine in Born to Run. The book shares stories that fit in the wonderful chasm between our regular, everydays where we live and the world of too good to be true fantasy that we're lucky to delve into. Detroit was this way, only much sadder and I enjoyed it less. Not since Unbroken was a story this compelling. There was also this description of Leadville Colorado.
Leadville is a home for miners, muckers, and mean mother fuckers.
