Lazy
I'm so lazy I chose a one-word post title.
I think it's built into all of us on a DNA level.
Our brain is trained to look for the easiest possible way to do things.
For example, I'm now experimenting with typing stuff directly into the blog post window. One of the things, in that regard, that I like about the SETT blogging platform is how straightforward it is. No complex back end to manage everything.
Yes, this is violating one of my top rules for blogging: always use a separate text editor so you can save your crap elsewhere (dropbox) - and so you don't accidentally hit the 'backspace' key and watch in horror as a thousand words disappear into the ether.
BUT, I probably wouldn't have written this if I did use a separate text editor.
By typing stuff directly into the SETT interface, I dramatically reduce the number of steps I need to take to get something posted.
It's not that writing posts is a huge ordeal or anything like that. I quite enjoy writing. But when I think of "writing and publishing blog posts" as I usually do it, it seems like a complicated thing in my head.
Which may or may not stop me from getting something posted.
I'm not sure about any of this, but it feels a lot more... free, I suppose, to do it this way.
Even if I lie at the mercy of my right pinky finger, which at any moment could send this post to eternal destruction.
But hey, I'm a rockstar, living on the edge.
That said, I'm all for simplifying everything, even if it might mean compromising the "neatness" of something else, like organization or archiving of blog posts.

Finally, every single person alive needs to be obsessed about everything that comes out of Kelly Starrett's mouth. He is the only person who teaches how to use your body as a human being.
Sounds sort of dull, but I am FASCINATED. His CreativeLive course is, without hesitation, the best hundred bucks I ever spent.
You can watch the introduction free.
