Fundamentally Wrong
"One truth is clear, whatever is, is right."
~ Alexander Pope
I'm not a racist, because racists are fundamentally wrong. Incorrect.
Racists make subjective judgements about other people based on the color of their skin, which, based on what we know about humans, the brain, etc, is a fundamentally irrational thing to do.
Someone's intelligence, competence or ability has no correlation to that person's ethnicity. Therefore, racism is wrong.
Similarly, morality is wrong.
Morals are a set of subjective judgements we make on external circumstances that dictate whether they are right or wrong.
As a concept, the idea of right and wrong is entirely subjective.
A vegan might say that he thinks slaughtering animals is wrong. A butcher might disagree.
Both subjective. And neither has any reality outside of that person's head.
Morality is essentially the same thing as racism, just applied to a broader spectrum. It's only different in terms of scale.
Also, yay for controversial blog posts.
