With last year's death pool being such a success, I figure we should do another one, as the time is right.
This year's death pool is George Zimmerman.
Before, I go any further, let me say that this is not about whether George or Trayvon deserved what they got. Whether or not justice was served, the trial is over, and the chances of Big Geezy getting tried federally is very low, as it is going to be hard to prove that George Zimmerman committed a hate crime: The dude is a registered Democrat, part Afro-Peruvian, voted for Obama, tutored black kids, and stood for a homeless Black man against COPS.
He stood up for a homeless black man against COPS.
Whatever. I don't care about dead white kids, I don't care about black kids, and I most certainly don't give a shit about dead Asian kids.
Anyway, on with the pool.
Death Factor 1: Health
This is what Geezy looked like before the trial:
and this is him after the trial:
This guy has gained 120 pounds, and according to a close relative of his (identity verified), he has gone from cheerful, upbeat do-gooder to withdrawn. He may be suffering from depression.
He is most certainly not in good health, mental or physical.
Perspective: He still weighs less than this man:
Death Factor 2: Angry African-Americans
After the Rodney King incident and the acquittal of the officers involved, Black people became shall we say...a little bit incensed and incited what would later become known to America as the L.A. Riots of 1992.
But to the Korean residents of L.A. It would become known as Sa-I-Gu. Because the LA Riots resulted in over $1 billion dollars (1992 dollars, mind you) in damages, much of which was suffered by Korean businesses, who had nothing to do with Rodney King. Oh, and also 53 deaths.
Now if the African-American community was willing to go so far for the beating of an alcoholic adult with multiple felonies who aggravated police officers and didn't even die, is it so hard to believe that they might go a little further over the death of young Trayvon?
Ordinarily, you might say, “No, the shooting of young black men is an all-too-common tragedy if pre-Lil John rap lyrics, 90s movies, and news has taught me anything.” But remember: Trayvon Martin's killer was not black.
Think carefully. The rioting has already begun.
