So, I am completely new to blogging and do not know what to expect in terms of viewers, comments, etc.. However, I will try to post a wide variety of posts about hings like video games, Kpop/Kdrama, and Anime too!
Before I go any further, what I will say in this review, and my blog in general, is solely my opinion. So, don't take it to heart.
Now, I know how old this drama is. It first came out in 2009, and i watched soon after. Since this is my first review though, I wanted to review the first Korean drama I have ever watched. My younger self, really enjoyed this drama! While I found it to be quite, well, dramatic, it was still lighthearted and relaxing in a way. That being said, my current self looks back at it and thinks "Wow! This is cheesy~~" I am not dissing the drama in anyway though!
Let's talk about the plot:
A girl named Geum Jan-di makes her way into a school "for the privileged" through a scholarship. She is surprise to see how snobby her classmates are, especially a certain group of boys named the F4. Eventually, Jandi decides to challenge their leader, Gu Jun-pyo, thereby infurating him. At the end, like every other drama of this kind, jan-di and Jun -oyo end up falling in love and living happily ever after.
Fullmetal Alchemist was the original FMA anime, launched around the same time the manga was in it's first stages. The author of the manga, Hiromu Arakawa, thought her manga was not far enough into development to make a solid anime. Therefore, the cast working on the show, basically, developed their own show based on the same general plot. Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood then came along when Arakawa believed the manga was developed enough to produce a good story-line.
Differences in Plot:
Overall, the Spring anime season of 2014 was my favorite! So many good animes aired that season. I will eventually review all the animes I liked from that season, but, for today, I will review No Game No Life by Madhouse.
No Game No Life was an anime adaptation by Madhouse of a light novel by the name of Noge Nora by Yu Kamiya. Before the anime adaptation, there was a manga adaptation by Yu Kamiya in collaboration with Mashiro Hiiragi as an illustrator. Trivia: Yu Kamiya is married to Mashiro Hiigari!!
I wanted to do something music related on this blog, but I wasn't sure where to start. So, I decided to make a simple list of my top 10 favorite songs in my phone's playlist.
1. Warriors by Imagine Dragon
2. Unravel by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure
So it's a bit late, but I haven't really had the time to post on the blog since the semester started -_- . However, enjoy!!(?)
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso:
Continuing from last season, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso made it's way up to be potentially one of my top 3 favourite animes of the year! This tear-jerking laugh-invoking BEAUTIFUL piece of art caught my attention first because I knew my boyfriend likes the piano. I thought, "hey it may not be half bad." But boy was I wrong, this anime is so interesting and every episode that comes out has so much more to offer. I am definitely glad Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is longer than the (expected) 12 episodes.
Oh man, It's been a bumpy ride!
The past year harbored so many changes for me it became hard to keep posting blogs or videos, as is obvious by my lack of posts.
From breaking up with my boyfriend to finding another then back to my ex, that merry-go-round has been quite stressful.
Romantic life aside, I have switched schools! Originally, I lived in Northern Virginia with my family while attending NOVA, but I have since moved out on my own to South Carolina to go to Coastal Carolina University.
Hookah has been a long lasting "hobby" of mine. hookah played a decent part in my upbringing. Growing up in Cairo, Egypt literally everybody smoked hookah, sheesha as we call it, at least once in their life.
The variety of flavors is not only astonishing, but it also have a decent amount to say about the smoker. However, while the variety of flavors seems to be the obviously distinguishing factor in a person's choice in hookah, it's not! A person can have a usual, but still go out of their norm occasionally. However, a person usually only likes a certain pattern.
By pattern and holes I mean the way in which the holes are punctures through the foil that is under the coal. The pattern and the size of the holes can determine the draw and harshness of a person's hookah, as well as how well the tobacco burns. My personal preferred style is the "Arabic" style. This has one bigger hole in the center and then plenty off holes all around. It burns all of the tobacco in the bowl very well until it blacks.
For the past few months, I have been thinking of going bra-less. This came to me just for the sake of comfort, but then I decided to do more research on the matter. To my surprise, I found that studies say that not wearing a bra helps your boobs NOT sag! I originally thought the exact opposite.
Upon hearing all the benefits of not wearing a bra, I was convinced to hop on that boat. However, I was curious about what people thought of seeing ma girl's nipples poking out.
I wanted to hear everyone's opinions, but especially the opinions of those on my campus. To get the opinion of my fellow Chanticleers, I posted a post on yik yak, and it got a decent amount of replies. For the rest of the world, I made an AskReddit post which I will link at the bottom.
An opinion that mattered more, however, was my boyfriend. His opinion is the one who took my by surprise. He said that he finds it gross to see a girl's nipples hanging out. He thinks it is perfectly plausible for a girl to choose not to wear a bra, however he thinks she should wear a nip cover, pasties.
I have had better 4/20s definitely but this one wasn't bad at all. Really, the only down side was that i ate some not-as-good-as-I-thought leftovers and vomited them out for an hour or so.
We had made edibles (fruity krispy treats and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies) I had some then slept the sickness off for a few hours.
Later, we rolled up some more, took a few hit from the bong, rolled up again, until the lighters all ran out. But that was ok! Because we just migrated to i-hop to have some high-people foods, then to my house where we smoked. Again.
The nauseousness aside, it was a plentiful 4/20! I hope you all were just as stoned as I ways.
