"The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.• prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior: a program to combat racism."
Why should I constantly be picked at, because of the color of my skin? These people hate us, because our pigment is a little darker than theirs, I mean get over yourself. I chose to blog about RACISM and the people who encourages it. Now, I'm almost six months pregnant with a little girl (African American) who is due in September 2014. It bothers me that I have to scroll through my Facebook Newsfeed and see ignorance and such, not just from one person but many others. I'm going to try and take a stab at this professionally, and not based off of emotions. So if you can't handle what is being talked about please state how you feel, so that I can reply back or just excuse yourself! Simple as that!
What is so wrong with today's generation? When I ask that question it's not just the youth but moreover the grown ass folks who have children. RACISM, it disgusts me so much that it makes me not even want to be apart of this world sometimes. Now, I give credit where it's due when a film is made and white people play their parts and things, but what's so wrong about an African-American person? Not all Black people or Niggers as a lot of you White folk refer to us as, are bad and make society hate us.
Yes, there are a few African-American folk that causes the judgement passed upon themselves for many reasons: Behavior, attitude, length of loyalty, etc. But that's still not a good enough reason to feel a type of way, because the color of someone's skin. I've seen too many videos of social workers asking little kids how they feel about flash cards with black kids and white kids on them. The black man isn't always the one in the wrong. And to hear a little kid say, "Well the black kid is bad, because he threatens society." or "My mommy and daddy said I can't play with someone like that," and not even know as to why they aren't allowed to play with or have an African-American friend. Racism spreads because there are many White people (racist ones) who will introduce their child to racism before anything positive.
I guarantee that you won't find one African-American household in America that is telling their kids to stay away from white people for the reasoning of the color of their skin. I'll be damned if I teach my child how to hate someone or feel a type of way, because that person is different then her. NEVER! WE, African-Americans didn't start out as slaves -not at all! We were kings and queens before "the man" decided to stir up history. Everyone deserves an equal love, being that we all the same: 2 eyes, 1 heart, 2 hands, and 1 of a kind. If you speak negative then so shall you live it, out of the mouth speaks the abundance of the heart! How you feel towards someone is all held accountable against you.
Every character, toy, doll, whatever deserves to be both colors: black & white! This is not a world that God built for only white people. Many of us blacks live here too and are forever going to be here. You can't hate something and not have a valid reason. Your parents may be racist but that gives you no right! When I think about my people, I honestly feel that we're the most tasteful people upon the face of this Earth, anyhow. We don't care about how you feel because our skin is darker, obviously we hold some type of power that "the man" just don't possess.
We all share the same world, water, and oxygen ..... if you hated sharing things with us that bad, just stop breathing. I don't hate nor have a problem with white people at all, but it seems that they just can't get us (black folk) off their minds/tongues.
