Windows RT: Forget what the tech press has told you, they are WRONG!!

DO a search to investigate Windows RT 8 and you'd be presented with a common opinion amongst most quarters of the tech press when you see popular news sites presenting headlines like these

Headlines like these and reading this particularly scathing review of the device from Paul Thurrott amongst others where Windows RT is described as "(Windows RT) is simply too underpowered to provide a satisfactory experience." and "Windows RT does everything slowly. Everything. The day-to-day experience is terrible." anyone doing research about Windows RT would be forgiven for thinking Microsoft has released a bit of a dud here.

Well the truth is far from it, far from it if your expectations of what you are buying are set correctly and you have an understanding if what Windows RT is and is not...

Todoist - Complete Task Management Tool

On The Old Sheep

After several years of trying out various task list tools, I have, like many others, struggled to find the one that fits my way of working.

It is rather difficult to try new tools, and after a few days, find out that it doesn't work that well or that it doesn't sync well across platforms or that it does not support projects or sub-tasks or that it is hard to insert a task...

For developers of such apps, it is really hard to implement all that their customers could think of and still have a simple and useful interface. Some of the tools offer super-simplicity, which is good until you start working on three different projects (and have a real life as well). Some tools have strict GTD (David Allen's Getting Things Done) implementation, which is fine until you have to remember to pay the bills, or call mum, without going through the full workflow of productivity method.

As in all life, balance and simplicity is the key to greatness, and closest I have got to this ideal is an app platform called Todoist.

Before proceeding to their site, be aware that this is a paid service (21 EUR a year). There is a free version to try out, but it lacks several key features. Without these paid-for features the app is mostly useless. Also be aware that I am not affiliated to Todoist in any way. I am just an regular user, wanting to share my story with you.
