A big part of emotional autonomy is to fully accept the world around you as it is, and live in the world as it is, and not as you think it should be.
If you think something should be other than it is, you have some work to do.
My brother let me know about this today. The famous swedish football coach Sven-Göran "Svennis" Eriksson, who used to coach the England national team, just lost about £10MM.
Why? He gave his financial adviser total autonomy to do whatever he wanted. It got invested in a bunch of dumb things, and now Eriksson is practically bankrupt.
