I would say I inherited the beauty of my mother and the mental sharpness of my father.
But I never learned to work or make money, I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth.
My only order was: Get good grades.
It seemed like a good plan. My father followed it and he became an engineer and worked for the government. Probably he would have become a millionaire, but he got married.
The first time he tried to get me motivated was with videogames.
I asked him to buy me the videogame Super Bomberman 2 and he said to me:
"If you get A's and B's I'll buy it for you. If you get A's only I'll buy you all the games you want."
My mother looked at him worried, "All the games he wants?" She was afraid I would do it.
I got A's and B's and I got the game.
My father talked with an employee of the store (I couldn't hear what they talked).
Immediately the emploee opened the case were my precious videogame was being held. He picked it up and gave it to my father.
I was marveled at my father. He easily obtained the videogame for me.
I was to young to understand the power of money.
Only being interested in videogames I got little out of them, empty entertainment and an advanced english level when I was a kid.
And now 15 years laters my english isn't so impressive.
